Coweta County is nestled in the metro Atlanta area. It is southeast of Carroll County, and has easy access to Atlanta via I-85. The county is comprised of beautiful cities with shopping, restaurants, and other amenities. Coweta county is also host to a number of events and festivals throughout the year including the Spring Tour of Homes, the Magnolia Blossom Festival, and other festivals that correspond with holiday weekends.

Coweta County at a Glance

Coweta County is made up of four major “cities” and four “towns.” The county has a population of roughly 130,000 residents and is consistently put in the top 100 growth counties in the United States. This growth continues today, bringing with it lots of opportunity and change.

Newnan is the county seat. In Newnan, there is fun for everyone–bowling, an outdoor mall, a quaint downtown area, and more. Newnan is just off I-85 and is only forty-five minutes from Atlanta.

Senoia has three commercial areas with more than seventy-five businesses, and the Historic Downtown area offers restaurants, boutiques, antiques, and bed and breakfasts. Less than an hour from Atlanta!

Grantville, which is a film site for the television show The Walking Dead, is a quaint up-and-coming city less than an hour away from Atlanta.

Palmetto is located 25 miles south of Atlanta on U.S. Highway 29.

Describe your perfect day
We would take the kids to Senoia for a quick museum tour at Senoia Area Historical Society Museum. We would spend the rest of our day enjoying Marimac Lakes Park, and we would end the day with ice cream and bowling at Ashley Park in Newnan.

One thing you need to know about Coweta County?
It truly is just the perfect place to live. We have wonderful school systems and the cost of living is very reasonable for the proximity to Atlanta. It can’t be beat!
