Just east of the Alabama state line, Carroll County is made of seven municipalities, and each of these regions provide something unique to potential homebuyers. Carroll County is the perfect place to settle down as it offers quick access to the city of Atlanta, while also maintaining the southern, hometown feel of a small city.

Each of the following municipalities offer superb educational opportunities. Additionally, the taxes in Carroll County are affordable, and there’s a surplus of land available for agribusiness. With little to no traffic to get to a major interstate from each of these locations, you can’t make a wrong choice.
Temple is immediately off of I-20. Temple Georgia is the perfect place for residents who commute the city, but who want to live in a quiet location or to purchase land. Another fun fact: the actress Susan Hayward is actually buried near Temple–Hayward moved to Carroll County in 1959 and she and her husband F. Eaton Chalkley lived in an estate nearby.
Mt. Zion is a central location; it’s near the city of Carrollton and roughly fifteen miles away from the interstate.
Bowdon is close to the state line, so it’s only ten minutes away from Ranburne and twenty minutes from the interstate.
Roopville, home to the historic Roop House, is also near Chattahoochee Bend State Park and Troup County.
Whitesburg is a perfect, central location with easy access to Douglas County, Coweta County, and the City of Carrollton.
Villa Rica is right off Interstate 20. Villa Rica has its own downtown area with shopping, restaurants, and the Mill Amphitheater. Make sure you visit the Pine Mountain Gold Museum!
The City of Carrollton is a wonderful location. The city school system, the University of West Georgia, and Adamson Square are just a few of the many amenities the city of Carrollton has to offer.
